Building

In the 1930s, even in Hadar HaCarmel, interpretations of international architecture emerged.
The International style in Hadar HaCarmel arrived alongside the Jewish immigrants, an import from Europe that suited the new settlers seeking a fresh identity and embracing construction technology. In most cases, the homeowner was Jewish, as was the architect.
The hybrid style emerged from a fusion of elements from international architecture brought by Jewish immigrants and the local Arab building tradition, where the homeowner was often Arab and the architect Jewish.

Here are the buildings in the different styles that we modeled as part of the research and digital preservation of the neighborhood:
